Generating a whole new song to fix a single verse throws away everything you liked. The song editor keeps the song and rebuilds only the part you select, blending it back into what comes before and after.
Use it to rewrite a lyric, fix a stumbled word or a rough transition, or simply hear a different take of a chorus. Every edit is saved as a new song, so the original is never overwritten.
How to replace part of a song
- 1
Choose one of your songs
Pick a song from your Musikalis library. The editor loads its waveform, style and lyrics.
- 2
Select the part to replace
Drag the handles on the waveform. A section is at least 10 seconds and at most half the song; press play to hear exactly what you selected.
- 3
Edit the lyrics and generate
Rewrite the lines sung in that part, or leave the lyrics as they are for a fresh take. Generate and compare the two new versions.
What stays and what changes
Only the selected part is regenerated. Everything before and after it is kept from your original song, with a short crossfade on each side so the new part blends in.
- The song keeps its length, structure and style.
- New lyrics are sung in the selected part; unchanged lyrics give a new performance of the same lines.
- Each edit creates two new versions in your library.
- Your original song is never modified.
Choosing a good section
Start and end the selection a little before and after the line you want to change, ideally at a pause between phrases. Keep the rest of the lyrics as they are so the edited part still fits the song.
